WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SESSION?
Your first appointment will take about one and a half hours. This is the same whether you come to my office or your session is via Skype.
You and I go deep into your goals and desires and the problem you want to overcome. We discuss your thoughts, and your feelings and most important – the steps you need to achieve them.
You’ll learn the truth about hypnosis and have the opportunity to experience a “mini practice hypnosis” so you know exactly how hypnosis works.
At home you will reinforce your positive changes. Reinforcement is key to your success. You will spend about 5 minutes twice a day. There is no need to spend hours each day to create positive changes.
EVERY CLIENT IS DIFFERENT
The only way to achieve success is to make sure that I clearly understand your inner goals. Every session is customized to YOUR NEEDS AND GOALS. This is not “cookie cutter” hypnosis.
What should I expect in a private hypnosis session?
During your first hypnotherapy appointment you will learn how your subconscious mind works. When you understand this, the puzzle pieces come together and you’ll understand the secret to taking control of your thoughts – rather than your thoughts controlling you.
You’ll also learn many Hypnosis Facts such as:
- No one can control you in hypnosis
- When you are in hypnosis you are totally aware
- Hypnosis feels similar to meditation

During hypnosis, your subconscious mind is at the forefront and is acceptable to your new positive thoughts. You and I talk at length to assure that everything you hear and imagine in your mind will help you to achieve your goal.
Hypnotists and hypnosis research has found that success can be improved by custom tailoring suggestions and self-hypnosis affirmations to your needs. Therefore a successful session on getting over your fear of speaking in public would be vastly different from another’s session.
- Hypnosis is mind control. Research has proven that this is NOT true. No one person can make you do things you don’t want to do. Stage hypnosis might appear as if the hypnotist is in control. In stage hypnosis, remember that the person on stage has volunteered and that the hypnotist is giving suggestions. The subject on stage is responding to only those suggestions that are acceptable.
- Hypnosis is sleep. A person in hypnosis generally has their eyes closed and is relaxed, but not asleep. Hyposis is the greek word for sleep.
- A Hypnotist can make you reveal secrets. See above “Hypnosis is mind control.” No hypnotist can do this.
- You will forget everything you heard in hypnosis. This is not true. You can choose to remember everything.
